The main tasks of the Centre are:
• Development of international contacts for successful support of educational and scientific projects;
• Fulfillment of obligations in accordance with bilateral agreements for cooperation with foreign partners;
• Assistance to students and teachers in heightening the level of their professional skills on the basis of programmes which are carried out
by the permanent foreign partners of BSTU;
• Preparation and implementation of individual and group programmes which aren’t stipulated by the curriculum of the University departments
and their organizational support.
The principal work directions of the Centre of International Cooperation
are:
1. Development of academic and scientific cooperation in the field of education and information technologies;
2. conclusion of scientific and technical cooperation agreements;
3. development of international cooperation with Universities of the near and far abroad countries. Planning and coordinating international
cooperation work;
4. providing information about foreign internship and grants to the academic staff, postgraduates and students;
5. providing the close interaction with state authorities, international, national and regional funds and with programmes in the field of
education, science and culture;
6. planning, organization and participation in international conferences, seminars, symposiums;
7. exchange of scientists, postgraduates and students for carrying out scientific researches;
8. participating in forming and carrying out joint international programmes and projects, also within the framework of international
grants;
9. exchange of educational and methodic literature, educational software, scientific and technical literature, published by the academic
staff, among libraries and departmens;
10. exchange and private visits of scientists, researchers and teachers for lecturing and also for carrying out researches;
11. exchange of students and graduates, cooperation among professors and administrators within the framework of drawing up and sending
applications for grants, carrying out joint innovational and applied scientific and social projects;
12. elaboration and exchange of innovation training methods and educational technologies. Participation in international programmes on
development and use of progressive technologies and methods in the sphere of environmental protection, efficient use of natural resources
and high-quality economic education.
