International Association of Slavonic Universities was founded in 2000. It was established on the initiative
of coordinating universities of 3 countries: Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. Moldova, Transnistria and Yugoslavia joined it later on.
Objectives of the Association are: establishing mutually beneficial scientific, educational and cultural
connections; promoting mutual understanding among academic staffs, public organizations, students and individual scientists and lecturers of
higher educational institutions of the independent states related to each other by common traditional and spiritual values.

In the context of the association’s activity the work is carried out in the following directions:
1. In the field of scientific and technical activity once in four years international conferences on developmental problems of modern
manufacture, management and information technologies are held, an annual international scientific and technical symposium “Slavyanskiy
Vestnik” ("The Slavic Bulletin") is issued. Exchanges of scientists, post-graduate students and students for scientific researches with use
of modern equipment, devices, computers, software and scientific literature are carried out. International students’ scientific and
technical conferences and seminars are organized with subsequent publication of theses. Exchange of scientific and technical literature
issued by teachers and scientific workers of higher educational institutions between libraries and faculties is carried out as well as
preparation and edition of joint monographies and textbooks. Higher educational institutions participate in developing joint programs and
projects, including those within the framework of international grants.
2. In the field of educational activity teaching staff exchanges for lecturing on new directions of science and technology, exchange
of curricula, courseware and training software are carried out. Distance learning is applied when teaching specialists and masters at
partner universities. Exchange students are offered places for practical training. International scientific - methodological conferences and
seminars on modern methods of training in the higher school are held. Assistance is rendered to establishment of direct communication
between related departments.
3. In the field of cultural exchange there is arranged annual festival of Slavic youth on the border of three states (Belarus –
Russia –Ukraine); international meetings of “Students’ Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-Witted”, youth folklore holidays and student amateur
performances, international student sport competitions, student scientific works competitions. Joint preparation and release of student
newspapers and publications in regional periodicals, an exchange of groups of students for rest at sports camps are organized.
