Facts:
The Mechanical Technological Department was founded in April 1939 and included Machine-Tools and Mechanical
Engineering Technology Chair, Metals and Materials Science Technology Chair, Power Engineering Chair, Welding Chair. In December 1934 the
number of the first graduates was 24. The engineers graduated from the speciality Cold Metal Working by Cutting.
Chairs which now make up the Mechanical Technological Department are the oldest ones at the University.
Faculty members, post-graduate students and students actively participate in scientific and research work.
Students implement different scientific projects in the context of scientific and technical programs of Ministry of Education and Science of
the Russian Federation. They take part in different competitions and conferences not only in Russia, but also abroad.
