All graduates of BSTU are not only high-quality specialists and experts, but bright creative personalities. The teaching staff aims not only at giving necessary skills and knowledge to students, but involving them in different creative activities.
There are many directions of social and creative activity at the university.
Ежегодно проводятся студенческие научно-технические конференции по гуманитарным и социально-экономическим проблемам. Под руководством преподавателей каф. ФиИ студенты 1 и 2 курса пишут рефераты, которые обсуждаются на потоках и в студенческих группах, участвуют в региональных и российских конференциях, посвященных гуманитарным и экономическим проблемам.
The students of BSTU implement different scientific and research projects. They take part in scientific and technical, social and economic conferences, competitions. Moreover, many intellectual games are held, which help to solidify received knowledge, analyze real-life situations and learn to make the right decision.
Also students take part in amateur art activities. There are many concerts, drama shows and performances often devoted to some anniversary dates. The most important of them are “Freshman’s Day”, international festival “We are together”, “Students spring”. Students sing, dance and perform miniatures at these concerts. BSTU has a Students’ Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-Witted which takes part in competitions among educational institutions of Bryansk and other regions.
There are many sport activities for students: basketball, volleyball, boxing, hand-to-hand fighting, swimming, athletics.
It should be noted that teachers and students’ trade union organization supports active and creative students. These students receive special grants and prizes and an opportunity for recreation in the summer camp or sanatoriums.
